1 Peter 2:6-8 – Your Choice

Your Choice

“…For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.” So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.” They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do…” – ESV / Commentary

Yup the cornerstone is Jesus – when God sent Jesus to be a human in the flesh and to proclaim the message of God etc… a lot of people rejected Him. Those who believe in the incarnation, birth, life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Christ and believe that His death is for our sins and we walk in the grace & truth – we have the honor to sit in a Heavenly eternity with God and His Son for the rest of our existence which is forever. Those who reject the cornerstone (Jesus) are like a stumbling rock that collects dirt and moss and sand and grimy matter as it rolls and stumbles because they disobey God by not believing in Him or His Son. 🙂 thanks for asking it was a Great question – I really love this verse too! You’re right it is like a stamp to the brain!
      God Bless!
